This museum occupies an 18C residence. It is devoted to the ancient history of the Veluwe and of the famous Harderwijk University, attended notably by the 18C Swedish botanist Carl von Linné (also known as Linnaeus), the surgeon H Boerhaave and C Hygens, who gained doctorates at Harderwijk. The museum also exhibits coins, costumes and models boats.
