Built in the 18C, this magnificently restored mansion revives the atmosphere of the life of Hungary's aristocracy in the Great Plain in the second half of the 19C. After many transformations, the Almásy Residence has been reunited with the furniture, clothes and everyday objects of its heyday. Visitors get an insight into the behind-the-scenes running of the mansion, in particular through the role played by the many servants. The museum is very interactive and has information panels in English.
