Île de Groix

Opinião do Guia Michelin
Located off the coast of Lorient, Groix looks very much like it. Giant rocks obscure its valleys, and its wild coastline carpeted with gorse and heather is bitten into by cliffs and sandy little bays. You can just imagine them being battered by the terrible storms that led to the coining of the local proverb: "Qui voit Groix voit sa croix" (or "He who sees Groix sees his cross"). The landscape is nonetheless a haven for nature lovers. It will also appeal to anyone who enjoys legends, since Groix, which bears a Breton name meaning Witch's Island, has plenty of them to offer.
