Housed in the oldest building of the Republic's arsenal, this museum sets out a chronological presentation of maritime life and of the port of Genoa. From 17C galleys to transatlantic liners, via the age of sailing boats, the entertaining itinerary is particularly well done. The mirador on the top floor offers a 360° view over the city. To round off the visit, head down into the Nazario Sauro submarine, which is moored at the quayside opposite the museum (extra charge).
