The collections evoke the port and river life of Gdansk and maritime events along the Baltic coast, from the earliest times to the present day. The museum also boasts an interesting gallery of marine paintings: the Morska gallery. On the quayside, the visit continues with the museum ship SS Soldek, the first Polish vessel to launch from Gdansk dockyard in 1948.
