From its founding by the Teutonic Knights in 1350 until it was burned down in 1945, production at the mill didn't stop - almost 200t of cereals a day were produced, thanks to 18 water wheels. Rebuilt in 1962, this impressive Gothic building now houses a shopping mall. Almost directly opposite, you will see the 14C Little Mill (Maly Mlyn), which straddles an arm of the canal. Beyond the mill, the tip of the island is occupied by the 17C house of the millers' guild.
