The Susten road reaches its highest point (2 224m) in the 325m-long mountain tunnel that runs beneath the geographical pass (alt. 2 259m). It is easy to climb on foot, taking you to the loveliest spots to be seen on the Bernese side. The Susten Pass is open from May to October, depending on the depth of the snow.
