The exhibition centre attracts millions of visitors, who attend its numerous fairs and shows every year. Faultless organisation and the sheer size of the venue ensure that the centre's events are always a high point for business, networking and trade opportunities. Constantly expanded since its creation in the early 20C, the park grew up around the original Festhalle (1909), recognisable by its red sandstone façade and its dome, and something of an anachronism amid the modern buildings that surround it.
