This modern educational museum charts the history of Frankfurt. The tour kicks off with the Hohenstaufen dynasty, who reigned over the Holy Roman Empire from 1138 to 1254. It continues into the Collectors' Museum, divided into fifteen sections and reminiscent of a curiosity cabinet (coins, works of art, earthenware...). The tour ends in the contemporary wing, where you mustn't miss Johannes Schöner's (1515) globe, which was the first time that 'America' was ever indicated on a map.
