The narrow valley enjoys the natural protection of two deep gorges that are hard to access, and through which the River Anapo and the Torrente Cava Grande run. The magnificent site, still unspoilt and only accessible to hikers, will appeal to nature lovers and archaeology enthusiasts with the Pantalica site. The nature trail leads visitors through a landscape of gorges and steep rock faces, through which the Siracuse-Raguza-Vizzini railway line used to run.
