Guinette Tower
O Guide Vert
Opinião do Guia Michelin
This 12C tower overlooks the town from the middle of a small wood. Built to a very rare, four-petalled rose design, it was originally the keep of the royal castle which has since disappeared. Taken by Henry IV in 1589, local inhabitants demanded its demolition, as they were tired of the endless fighting over it. Good King Henry did not do things by halves: the cracks caused by the explosion of the barrels of gunpowder can still be seen today.
