The Ribeaupierre family received this fief in the 15C. This fortress was the former residence of the representative of the emperor of Alsace. A vaulted water tank is next to the donjon. You may enjoy a very beautiful view over the valley of Fecht to the West, and of the plains of Alsace to the East.
