Climb to the top of this bell tower (1410) to the 40m-high platform. The tower's spire (58m) sports a collection of turrets, skylights, weathervanes and pinnacles. The 62-bell peal rhythms daily life by playing, on the hours, the tune of the Scottish Puritans, on the half-hours a barcarolle, and on the quarter-hours, a few bars of the Gayant tune. From the top is a view over Douai and its industrial suburb.
