The museum, spanning science, painting, contemporary art and local history, was founded by watercolour artist, Paul Martin, of the Provençal School in 1889. Historic holdings of Italian and Dutch art. An added bonus is the collection of 200 19C scientific instruments, including the superb cosmographic clock. The visit continues outdoors with contemporary art (Andy Goldsworthy, Herman de Vries, Mark Dion, Joan Fontcuberta) dotted around the grounds.
