Completed in 1928, this chapel is the tallest building on the University of Chicago campus. Embodying typical Gothic principles, the brick and limestone edifice has little structural steel. The stained-glass of the pastel windows contrasts with the brightly coloured window above the altar. The magnificent chancel with its organ pipes, pulpit and carved oak choir seats creates a sense of pomp for the graduation ceremonies held here.
