The Silk Museum documents Charlieu's silk-making traditions, which is the headquarters of the last guild of silk weavers. The museum charts the evolution of the industry's techniques since the 18C by exhibiting different looms. From the handloom to the shuttle-less loom, all of the material presented runs when demonstrations are put on. Designs by prestigious couturiers are exhibited on the upper floor.
