The Augustinian Abbaye de Chancelade's superb complex of buildings stands at the foot of Beauronne hills. Although altered in the 17C and 18C, the Romanesque style predominates, particularly in the door and lower sections of the church, which date from the 12C. A community of Canons regular has occupied the premises since 1998. The chapel of St-Jean on the other side of the road still serves as a parish church. On the west façade, notice the sheep bearing a cross.
