Works by the Catalan sculptor Manolo Hugué, pioneer of art in Céret, by painter Pierre Brune, founder of the museum, and by Picasso, Toni Grand, Joan Brossa, Miró, Chagall, Matisse, Ben... adorn this modern building designed by Barcelona architect Jaume Freixa. Spacious galleries are arranged around patios that show off the works to good effect; the pieces on display rotated every year. Note the entrance, flanked by a diptych, brilliantly executed on plaques of enamelled lava by Antoni Tàpies.
