A neighbourhood on the up, with narrow little streets lined with old houses where a hint of the Buenos Aires of yesteryear lingers. It is a lively area that comes into its own on Sundays, when the Feria de San Telmo is set up around the central Plaza Dorrego: all the craftsmen and antique dealers lay out their wares at this huge market. While it carefully cultivates its artistic and bohemian side, in recent years San Telmo, like the barrio of Palermo, has nonetheless seen an explosion of hip places.
