The construction of the conference centre parallel to the Royal Library has transformed the neighbourhood. After years of works, the complex reopened its doors in late 2009, with a new name: "Square". This ultra-modern conference space, the first vision of which is a huge glass cube, puts the emphasis on contemporary art. Above the arcade, there is a chiming jaquemart clock, its automatons representing historical and folk figures.
