The entrance to this lovely museum devoted to local popular traditions is marked by the typical sign of a tavern (Zwarte Kat or Black Cat). It occupies a series of small white dwellings dating back to the 17C. Here, you will discover objects, reconstructions of interiors (including a 1920 school room), shops and workshops representing folklore and traditions. If you visit the candy shop on a Thursday afternoon, you will see the staff making sweets to the delight of the museum's younger visitors.
