The bay still exudes a magnificent wild beauty, the colours of the scrub-covered hills contrasting with the turquoise hues of the sea. The main public beaches are Maora and Santa Manza, near to the rocks of Punta Rossa. To the north is Balistra Beach, accessible via a particularly difficult track that is open to vehicles, and which is nestled in a wild but superb landscape.
