Another network of courtyards, a typical feature of the inimitable Scheunenviertel. While the first rather sombre courtyard calls to mind the Oranienburger Straße Mietskasernen (late-19C tenements - large blocks of flats rented to the working classes), the second is lighter and more spacious, inspiring a sense of reverie. Among the old sheds occupied by designers, note the 1858 glazed brick stable, decorated with a horse's head medallion.
