This open-air museum on the coast encompasses over 40 reconstructed timber houses from Bergen dating from the 18C and 19C. They were relocated here in order to be safeguarded, and contain period furniture, giving a realistic take on a bygone way of life. Visitors can see a photographer's studio from around 1900, a seamstress's 19C house, a merchant's summer residence built in 1798, a barbershop and a baker's house with its shop and ovens.
