This state-owned forest (2 400ha) is one of the most beautiful forests in the Perche region. It owes its reputation as much to its majestic oak forests as to the variety and beauty of its natural attractions, the most notable being the Étang de la Herse, whose waters reflect the beautiful green surroundings. Part of the massif is now utilised as an experimental forest.
