The Tour Salamandre, one of the oldest vestiges (11C) of the fortifications, is now home to a museum dedicated to the history of Beaumont. From the top of the tower, enjoy fine views of Beaumont (to the north) and the Hantes valley (to the south), with its St Julien chapel (16C) and old mill (17C).
