The Rue du Général de Dais is the site of some fine examples of classical Bayeux architecture: 18C Hôtel de Castilly, in the Louis XV style at no. 8 and the 18C Hôtel de la Tour du Pin, with a majestic Louis XVI-style façade at no. 14. A sculpture at the end of the street pays homage to local lad and poet, Alain Chartier (1385-1433).
