St Peter's Cathedral is the only place of worship in the region to be used by both catholics and Protestants. Construction of this building with three hall-type naves began in the 13C. In the middle of the 15C, the southern section of the church was extended, and its Late Gothic windows date from this period. Inside, note the large wood crucifix by Balthazar Permoser, the Baroque high altar decorated with statues of saints and an altarpiece, and the Princes' Loggia.
