Aubenas chateau cuts a fine figure with its façade framed by machicolated, round towers, dominated by a 12C keep. Bright, varnished tiles from Burgundy add a cheerful note. Inside, the strict medieval lines give way to fine wood panelled rooms, furnished in 18C style, one of which contains works by Symbolist painter, Chaurand-Naurac.
