The relatively simple façade of this church, built between the 16C and 17C, gives no clue as to the Baroque exuberance within. The nave, created beneath a Mudéjar artesonado ceiling, is covered with an abundance of polychrome stuccowork and frescoes. The most striking feature, however, is the 18C altarpiece at the main altar, an arrangement of twisting unadorned wood columns and scrolls rising up to the vaulted ceiling, accompanied by cherubs above the Virgin, who stands within the main camarín recess.
