Situated on the Singel canal, this floating market has sold bulbs and cut flowers since 1862. A victim of its tourist appeal, many stalls are now laden down with clogs, garden dwarfs and wooden tulips. Amsterdam's citizens, however, remain fervent flower lovers and continue to purchase large quantities of bulbs here.
