Nicknamed "Stopera" ("stop at the opera"), this modern building completed in 1987 houses the city hall and the ex-Muziektheater, nowadays the official home of the national dance and ballet company. It is a work by Viennese architect W. Holzbauer and Dutchman C. Dam.
