Flanked by towers and turrets and originally surrounded by moats, this gate dates from 1488. It served as the headquarters to the city's guilds, each of which had a separate entrance; the surgeons' entrance bears the inscription "Theatrum Anatomicum". Nowadays, it is home to a pleasant café-restaurant.
