The house in which Mondrian was born is home to an exhibition covering the main phases in the painter's development, from his figurative period to his neoplastic phase, when colours and lines became a language in their own right. His pentagonal workshop in Paris (1921-1936; reconstruction) is a perfect illustration of his preoccupation with space; the workshop is decorated with panels in primary colours.
