Art enthusiasts won't want to miss the Torpedo Factory Art Center, a large arts and crafts centre in Alexandria. Overlooking the river, this huge building was once used to manufacture torpedoes and operated at full throttle during the Second World War. Nowadays, it houses the studios of more than 160 professional artists and craftspeople whom visitors can observe at work here.
