Prince Street is lined with 18C residences (Gentry Row, block 200) and Federal-style houses (Captain's Row, block 100). On the corner of Lee Street, the Athenaeum, resembling a Greek temple (1852), began as the Bank of the Old Dominion. It is now an art gallery and seat of the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association (NVFAA).
