Go back 250 million years in time! To do so, follow the marked path "Col de la Terrasse" on the right bank of Lake Émosson. The geological site of Vieux-Émosson (alt. 2 400m), discovered in 1976, contains more than 800 fossilised footprints marking the passage of archosaurs, the ancestors of dinosaurs, and providing information on their impressive size. Strong walkers can hike around the site to reach the crest of the Veulade (alt. 2 491m, 2hr extra).
