The Gurgl valley remains a top destination in the Tyrol mountains. Depicted by extraordinary landscapes, the valley is a popular basecamp for hikers, come winter and summer, keen to enjoy its grandiose scenery. During the winter, its ski resorts offer some of the highest slopes in Austria, among which the delightful Obergurgl (1930m/6332ft) and Hochgurgl (2150 m/7053ft).
