This 18C manor house with a pink façade and Italianate columns overlooking the Saône Valley, is fully the equal of its name! With his wife, sommelière and a winegrowers’ daughter, Romuald Fassenet has turned this classical edifice into a stripped back, designer establishment offering a few guestrooms for a charming overnight stay near Dole. His straightforward, appetising food reveals his genuine passion for the Jura region (in fact, he was second to chef Jean-Paul Jeunet) and is founded on impeccable textbook skill. Yellow Jura wine features prominently in his fantastic sauces and his signature dishes include a “MOF” (Best Craftsman of France) duck pie.
