Good simple food is the ethos of this vintage-inspired bolthole which offers 5-, 6- and 7-course menus. Gert Weyn hits the nail on the head with intuitive personal inventions crafted with just a few ingredients. He has a knack for pairing the gutsy flavours of black pudding with slices of radish, sorrel leaves and herby fromage blanc, for example. Food that is refreshingly hearty, wholesome and oozing with flavour: such is the hallmark of Schnitzel.
