The Château des Lumières is located in the Bay of the Somme, 12km from Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. It has 4 gîtes, 2 of which are unusual, within the Château des Lumières and 2 gîtes 200m from the Château, as well as 5 guest rooms in the main building, with breakfasts included. We have a park of 11 000m2 with trees, each gite has its own terrace. Close to Mers-les-Bains and le Tréport famous for its cliffs and its colored houses, also to the famous beach huts of Cayeux-sur-Mer. Since May 2023, we have 2 additional cottages La Paren'Thèse and l'Etable du Château des Lumières at 200m from the Castle on a 2500m2 plot of land, each of them can accommodate up to 6 people, (animals not accepted in these cottages) they have a master bedroom (with shower and toilet), a double bedroom, and a child's bedroom. A shower room and a separate toilet. For these 2 lodgings 2 nights minimum in season, 7 days in July/August, and 2 or 3 nights during public holidays. We reserve the right to cancel if the conditions are not respected, and possibly to change the accommodation if your reservation does not respect the conditions for these 2 accommodations. Thank you for your understanding. We propose you the reservation of our unusual lodging Le Pigeonnier for 2 persons completely redone in January 2023. It has a mezzanine room with a miller's staircase to go upstairs. A shower room with toilet. The bed is made on arrival, and it has towels and bathrobe. Kitchenette integrated into the accommodation, television, courtesy tray. No Wifi. The 2 other accommodations, the Small and the Large Sheepfold have a very comfortable sofa bed allowing to be 4 in the accommodation. Beds made on arrival for the number of people indicated at the time of booking, towels and bathrobes, courtesy tray, television, kitchenette integrated into the accommodation. WIFI in the 2 lodgings. Possibility of reserving your breakfasts at the rate of 9,90€ per person of + of 10 years, 4,50€ for the children of - of 10 years. They will be served directly in your gite from 8:30 am to 10 am. Animals are accepted in our gîtes (Le Pigeonnier, le Bus, la Petite et la Grande Bergerie). No animals are allowed in the gîtes La Paren'Thèse and l'Etable du Château des Lumières. Reservation with supplement. It will be possible for you to have dinner at the table d'hôtes on certain evenings (especially on Fridays and Saturdays) but also the possibility to reserve your seafood platters. In winter from 15/09 to 15/05 we suggest you to book our Finnish Kota Grill, a very convivial and timeless moment (this one is in operation only for reservations of 6 people, so you can meet with people sharing other accommodations of the Castle). We also have a wellness area with Jacuzzi and Sauna, which can be booked by phone only.
