Since the 19C, teams of Austrian archaeologists have been excavating the site of Ephesus (Turkey), one of the most important ancient cities. Their finds are impressive. The Parthian monument frieze and the Ephesian Athlete, are the two major works presented here. Artefacts from the site of Samothrace in the Aegean Sea complete the collection.
