This lovely Baroque church, with its frescoes and gilded stuccowork, was completed in 1733 by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt on the site of a Romanesque predecessor. As you enter, you will encounter its superb interior decoration, down to the tiniest detail. Over the nave is an oval cupola, decorated with a fresco depiting The Assumption (1714) by Johann Michael Rottmayr.
