The Whaligoe Steps – 365 stone steps (330 according to some) – zigzag down the cliffside. If you decide to take on the steps, you can reward your efforts at the pleasant café in the bay. Herring, salmon, whitefish and shellfish have long been unloaded at the natural harbour at the foot of the steps.
