This regional museum devoted to local archaeology and ethnography is housed in the former Recollects Convent. There are reconstructed interiors (Gaume kitchen) and craft workshops. Industrial popular art collections notably feature ornamental cast iron pieces (firebacks and andirons) recalling that Gaume was once reputed for its smelting works.
