Built around the year 1000, the church remains an invaluable example of Romanesque architecture despite the remodelling it has undergone. Inside the church, the principal structure has been preserved: the nine-bay nave separated from the outer aisles by a wall which rises up over three floors as well as the great arcades, clerestory and high windows. Look at the capitals, which betray both Celtic and Oriental influences. The church has many 14C and 16C sculptures that were produced in provincial workshops, most notably a Virgin Holding the Infant Jesus, with a bird in her hand (14C).
