In 2009, Venice's historic customs house were converted into a Centre of Contemporary Art by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The Punta della Dogana is one of the François Pinault Foundation's two contemporary art centres. With the Palazzo Grassi, the Centre organises extremely interesting exhibitions by artists from all over the world.
