The Magnelli collection traces the development of this painter (1888-1971) who was born in Florence, but lived and worked in France. Alberto Magnelli initially painted large figurative works in pure colours, then later moved on to abstract art (Explosion lyrique), which he abandoned in the 1920s only to return to this style again in 1931. His most representative works include Attention naissance, Rien d'autre and Volontaire n°3.
