The former town hall (1900) houses the Museum Land van Valkenburg and its very diverse collections: objects unearthed during digs in the castle, geology section, fine 19C pharmacy and paintings by Expressionnist painter Charles Eyck (1897-1983), a native of the neighbouring town of Meerssen. At the entrance is a painting of Valkenburg Castle in 1670, just before its destruction. Contemporary art exhibitions are also organised here in summer.
