Dar Hussein

Opinião do Guia Michelin
The 18C Dar Hussein is one of the most beautiful palaces in Tunis. In the 19C, Youssef Sahib Et-Tabaa, the famous minister of Hammouda Pasha, bought the house and embellished it. Since independence, Dar Hussein has been the headquarters of the National Institute of Arts and Archaeology. It's not possible to visit the rooms now occupied by offices, but visitors can admire the huge patio with its white marble paving and columns, neo-Corinthian-style capitals, Kallaline faiences and stuccowork. In a corner of the patio, a door opens into a small courtyard with a pretty garden.
